[ET Net News Agency, 28 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$131.19 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.37 billion, or 16.29% of the market's turnover. There were 799 short-selling stocks. CATL (03750) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.18 billion and HK$2.35 billion, or 14.86% and 11.01% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 50.12% and 29.76% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.08 billion and HK$1.06 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.07% and 4.97% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 25.41% and 40.15% of respective stock's turnover.
CATL closed down HK$46.5, or 6.88%, to HK$629. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.18, or 0.69%, to HK$26.06. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.98, or 1.09% to HK$88.82. XIAOMI-W declined by HK$0.76, or 2.44%, to HK$30.34.
