[ET Net News Agency, 29 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$133.09 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.98 billion, or 16.52% of the market's turnover. There were 777 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BYD COMPANY (01211) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.32 billion and HK$1.14 billion, or 6.01% and 5.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 13.66% and 40.48% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.1 billion and HK$706.85 million of short sales, accounting for 5% and 3.22% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 39.55% and 28.58% of respective stock's turnover.
