[ET Net News Agency, 6 February 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$178.45 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.51 billion, or 17.66% of the
market's turnover. There were 661 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.45 billion and HK$4.78
billion, or 20.48% and 15.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 47.96% and 67.29% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.51 billion and HK$1.25 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.79% and 3.97% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.58% and 22.07% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.3, or 1.44%, to HK$21.1. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1.3, or
1.68%, to HK$78.7. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.9, or 2.27% to HK$40.55. BYD COMPANY jumped HK$32.6,
or 11.51%, to HK$315.8.
