[ET Net News Agency, 7 February 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$129.24 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.99 billion, or 13.15% of the
market's turnover. There were 633 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.96 billion and HK$1.49
billion, or 11.51% and 8.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 38.1% and 46.18% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.15 billion and HK$932.96
million of short sales, accounting for 6.77% and 5.49% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.22% and 19.07% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.32, or 1.52%, to HK$21.42. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1.2, or
1.52%, to HK$79.9. XIAOMI-W rose HK$2.35, or 5.8% to HK$42.9. BYD COMPANY jumped HK$16.6,
or 5.26%, to HK$332.4.
