[ET Net News Agency, 7 February 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$246.37 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.75 billion, or 14.11% of the
market's turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.67 billion and HK$2.87
billion, or 13.44% and 8.27% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 40.08% and 45.07% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.91 billion and HK$1.81 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.51% and 5.21% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.02% and 19.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.24, or 1.14%, to HK$21.34. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1.02, or
1.3%, to HK$79.72. XIAOMI-W rose HK$1.9, or 4.69% to HK$42.45. BYD COMPANY jumped HK$14.2,
or 4.5%, to HK$330.
