[ET Net News Agency, 11 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$95.36 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.57 billion, or 13.18% of the
market's turnover. There were 753 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.21 billion and HK$715.1
million, or 9.61% and 5.69% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.47% and 12.51% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$639.67 million and HK$397.4 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.09% and 3.16% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.86% and 19.71% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.08, or 0.31%, to HK$25.78. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.02, or
0.02%, to HK$91.7. BABA-W fell HK$1.2, or 0.78% to HK$152. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.34, or
0.81%, to HK$42.12.
