[ET Net News Agency, 23 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$192.37
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$38.36 billion, or 19.94% of the market's
turnover. There were 837 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.62 billion and HK$2.97
billion, or 22.47% and 7.75% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 49.29% and 39.27% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.59 billion and HK$1.32 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.15% and 3.43% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 36.88% and 20.34% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.86, or 3.36%, to HK$24.7. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.15,
or 3.14%, to HK$4.62. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.28, or 3.86% to HK$31.92. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$2.64, or 3.01%, to HK$85.16.
